Why People Choose To Work Out Of The Home .
Working out of the home in partnership with a great work from home company is the dream of a lot of people.
Many people would love to be able to work part-time or out of the home. However, when they look for jobs they seem to be more sales oriented than professional. It is a fact of life that the sales side is more prevalent and often generates more income but there are alternatives.
Now you can create your own home business opportunities out of an old or new passion, knowledge or skill.
Think about the following and maybe brainstorm some ideas:
What do you or did you used to do / in what field?
Can you do that part-time or full time for a home business?
What aspect of your skills would companies or individuals pay you to do on a contractual basis?
Are you willing to do commission-only sales for a partner company?
Is there a business you’ve always wanted to start?
What do you absolutely love to do, and are great at it?
With so many work from home company choices you should have no difficulty in working out of the home.
To work at home is an easy decision to make but can be difficult to implement. Once you find the right route you will find a tinge of jealousy amongst your work colleagues. Some will try to destroy your dream with negative comments etc, and it’s generally because they aren’t brave enough to try for themselves.
Working from home you will enjoy more freedom and flexibility than you ever had in the office or traditional workplace and there’ll be nobody trying to backstab you or undermine your work.
I am forever grateful that I seized the opportunity to work at home, as a Utility Warehouse distributor, and here is a few things I found beneficial.
As you begin working out of the home, find a private space within the home that is detached from the day to day of family life. You do want some separation between work and home. A work from home company and/or it’s representatives may want to contact you at their convenience not yours.
That’s why I have two phone lines when I work I work but I spend a lot of time being not available to certain parties … I do enjoy the freedom …you can too.
Your home business, like any business, will retain more revenue as salary if you keep your expenses low. One-way to do this is to not to pay the overhead of a traditional business. It’s profits high expenses low …if you’re smart.
A recent survey by research specialists Point Topic shows:
· 14.3% of the working population currently carry out work from home
· Of the above, approx. 42% are self employed home workers, 48% are employed by an organisation (e.g. salaried)
· There are now millions of self-employed people who carry out work from home world-wide
Other Highlights from the report include:
Home-workers are more common in social groups A and B. Home-working households are more heavily concentrated in social groups A and B. 60% of home-working households are to be found in these categories, against only 47% of non-home-working households.
Home-working households are more likely to be high-income households. The total annual income of home-working households is more likely to fall into the two highest income categories than for non-home-working households.
26% of home-workers spend between 10 and 20 hours per week online for work. 6% of those who carry out paid work from home use the Internet for less than one hour per week. Most spend between 10 and 20 hours per week, online. Just 5% of those who carry out paid work in the home spend more than 40 hours each week on the Internet as part of their home working.
As you can see above, people working out of the home are in the minority and tend to be upwardly mobile.
Part time businesses are in demand because the work at home experience tends to produce higher incomes.
